Andrew “Drew” Templeton is one of the main protagonists in the show Strange Hill High. He has a brown Afro, glasses that hide his eyes, and a green jumper. He is voiced by Richard Ayoade and was based on Maurice Moss from The IT Crowd (also played by Ayoade).
Personality[]
Templeton firmly believes in adhering to the rules, though he tends to have his own interpretation, or sometimes his own set of rules entirely. His parents ensure that he has no processed sugar in his diet (to the point of eating nothing for lunch when the school only serves sweets) because it causes him to become violently hyperactive.
Templeton considers himself a genius, though it is lost sometimes in his conspiracy theories and sci fi trivia. He also believes in aliens.
ometimes claims not to understand emotions, and his grasp on reality can be sketchy at times (he spent an entire episode convinced that the school was a cleverly disguised reality tv show). When he seems to properly understand the problem, he'll often come up with a solution or even directly fight it.Templeton seems to have an assortment of mechanical skills, able to build a fully operational airplane out of wood and rubber bands, and repairing the school’s faulty security system by himself.
